Our Story
MEET THE FOUNDER
Cindy Reed began Farmgirl Pickings as a vendor in an antique mall and has evolved over the years into a specialty retail boutique inspired by vintage and farmhouse décor. Our hope is a visit to the shop will be a treat for your senses, and excite your own creativity. We feature home décor, women's clothing, inspirational items and gifts. We offer DIY workshops and can create one for any private group or for team building. Farmgirl Pickings also hosts the annual Down on the Farm crafts and collectibles show the third Saturday of July.
Personal Story
I grew up in the Naches Heights area and worked for my dad in the orchards or helping with our family's cattle. I have been riding horses for as long as I can remember. I was the second "son" and learned to operate any type of equipment at a young age. After attending YVCC I drove truck hauling processer fruit. When my husband and I purchased a 1880's farmhouse on his Uncle's ranch I joined the farming crew and help with haying and the cattle operation.
I have been married to my husband Bob for 24 years and we have two children Austy & Emory.
I am surrounded by a very talented and crafty family and have always been interested in making things and decorating. I have used vintage finds and repurposed items to decorate our home from the start. I love primitives, folk art and classic farmhouse style.
